Nick Fairley has only been with the New Orleans Saints for one season. But evidently, New Orleans liked what it saw. The Saints locked Fairley up to a four-year deal on Thursday.
The #Saints contract with DT Nick Fairley is 4 years, worth almost $30M, source said.

Fairley had a good year for New Orleans in 2016. He recorded career highs in sacks (6.5), tackles (29) and played a full 16-season game season for the first time in his career.
The Saints’ defense around Fairley certainly needs to improved. Perhaps locking up Fairley for the next four years is a sign that New Orleans will commit to its defense, something it hasn’t done in quite some time.
