Washignton Redskins linebacker Reuben Foster was carted off the field Monday during OTAs after suffering a leg injury.
The injury is now being described as “major and significant,” per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.
Rapoport shared Monday evening that Foster “is believed to have suffered a torn ACL, plus additional damage.” He added that Foster is “seeing specialists to determine the full extent.”
It sounds like Foster will miss at least the 2019 season, if not more time depending on the severity of the other damage that Rapoport reported.
Last season, Foster — originally the 31st pick of the 2017 NFL Draft — was released by the San Francisco 49ers following an accusation of domestic battery involving his girlfriend.
