The Oakland Raiders have been quite busy in free agency. The latest activity, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, is the expected signing of cornerback Rashaan Melvin.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is for one year and $6.5 million.
Melvin spent the past two seasons in Indianapolis, recording 96 combined tackles and 20 defended passes in the process. He also tallied a career-high three interceptions in acting as the Colts’ best cornerback last season.
The 28-year-old corner will make a nice addition to a Raiders pass defense that gave up the seventh-most yards as well as 24 passing touchdowns in 2017.
Oakland had previously added veterans Doug Martin, Jordy Nelson and Tahir Whitehead, to name a few, to the mix in free agency.
