The Oakland Raiders are reportedly interested in trading with the New York Jets for wide receiver Robby Anderson ahead of the Oct. 29 NFL trade deadline.
The Jets are reportedly not averse to trading Anderson, if they can get a nice return for his services.
Oakland is frightfully thin at the receiver position this year. Even with Tyrell Williams set to return to action this weekend against the Houston Texans, the team could use an upgrade at this position. Even after missing the past couple of games due to injury, Williams remains the team’s top producing wide receiver, with tight end Darren Waller being the top weapon overall for Derek Carr.
Anderson is coming off a rough outing against the New England Patriots, but in Week 6 he hauled in five passes for 125 yards and a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. He’s a big-play receiver who could potentially boost Oakland’s offense in a big way.
