The Oakland Raiders are going all Texas A&M on Jon Gruden, reportedly set to hand him a 10-year contract worth $100 million, which would be — by far — the richest in NFL history.
Raiders are giving new head coach Jon Gruden a 10-year contract, the longest coaching deal in NFL history, sources tell ESPN. The deal is likely to be worth about $100 million.

It’s been reported Oakland will introduce Gruden as its next head coach on Tuesday following Wild Card Weekend. He’ll be calling a game this weekend — the AFC’s Tennessee Titans versus Kansas City Chiefs game — which is kind of awkward given that, inevitably, the conversation will turn to him.
When the reports first started to emerge that Oakland was pursuing Gruden, there was talk that he might be offered ownership stake in the Raiders. At this time, that doesn’t appear to be in the works, but at the very least he’s going to be a very rich man.
