Phil Jackson got paid a lot of money as president of the New York Knicks, and apparently that was a source of amusement for the Zen Master. Not only that, but according to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN, Jackson shared his amusement with friends.
.@stephenasmith said that Phil Jackson was laughing with confidants on the money he was getting paid by Dolan running the Knicks.

So, just how much money did he earn?
Phil Jackson worked for the Knicks for 1,200 days. He was paid $60 million for it or $50,000 a day.

Dolan finally fired Jackson Wednesday morning, and for good reason. We’ve previously covered Jackson’s many mistakes as president of the Knicks in detail. But the bottom line is that nothing he did bore good fruit for the Knicks.
Will he care? Probably not. After all, Jackson will reportedly take home a $20.5 million severance check. He’s laughing all the way to the bank.
