New England Patriots defensive end Matt Judon tore his lower bicep tendon during a 38-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN reported Sunday night.
Judon was injured late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against Dallas. He did not return to action, and a timetable for his return is not yet known, per ESPN’s report.
NFL Network reported that Judon will be getting an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. He is expected to miss time regardless of what the results yield.
In four games this season, Judon has totaled 13 tackles and four sacks, tied for fourth most in the NFL.
Judon, 31, is in his third season with the Patriots after spending five with the Baltimore Ravens. He posted a career-high 15.5 sacks during the 2022 campaign.
New England also lost rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez to a shoulder injury on Sunday. Gonzalez was the 17th overall pick at this year’s draft.
