San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers recently returned after spending one month on the disabled list, but he’s headed back to the shelf.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports, Myers will be sidelined until August.

Myers has appeared in 35 games, batting .277 with five home runs and 19 RBI. He’s yet to commit an error in 109 chances.
Dennis Lin of The San Diego Union-Tribune notes Padres manager Pat Murphy said of Myers’ absence:
“It’s a big blow, and that’s obvious. It’s been a big blow. That caliber of player leaves the puzzle without a piece, and everybody’s got to step up a little bit.”
San Diego acquired Myers, the 2012 AL Rookie of the Year, in a three-team trade last December.
For the time being, Will Venable will likely replace Myers.
