The Denver Nuggets received a pretty big scare Wednesday evening when star guard Jamal Murray exited the game with what looked to be a serious ankle injury.
Murray was helped off the court and could not put any pressure on his ankle in the blowout win over the Charlotte Hornets.
There’s some good and bad news on this front. The good news is that further testing revealed no structural damage. The bad news? Murray is still expected to miss multiple games.
It’s certainly not as bad as it could have been.
At 28-12 on the season, Denver boasts the second-best record in the Western Conference behind the Los Angeles Lakers.
For his part, the recently-extended Murray is averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists in his fourth NBA season.
