Report: Nigel Bradham to re-sign with Eagles

Nigel Bradham was a key contributor for the Philadelphia Eagles during their Super Bowl-winning season, and the franchise isn’t letting the linebacker skip town.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Bradham has secured a five-year, $40 million deal to remain in Philadelphia.

After joining the Eagles via free agency in 2016, he piled up 102 tackles and five pass defenses during his debut campaign with the team. Last year, Bradham collected 88 stops and broke up eight passes. He provided 15 tackles in the playoffs.

Philadelphia may have viewed the 28-year-old linebacker as the No. 1 priority this offseason, and keeping Bradham prevents a significant void from opening on the defense.

The Eagles have also added Michael Bennett and cornerback Daryl Worley through trades and are expected to sign defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.
