One day after the Nebraska football team was embarrassed at home by Ohio State, the University is reportedly set to hire a new athletic director, Washington State AD Bill Moor.

Moos is replacing Shawn Eichorst, who was ousted last month due to his inability to usher in a competitive program (aka: he signed Mike Riley to replace Bo Pelini).
“Shawn has led Nebraska Athletics in many positive ways, but those efforts have not translated into on-field performance,” Chancellor Ronnie Green said in a statement by the university. “Our fans and our student-athletes deserve leadership that drives the highest levels of competitiveness, as well as excellence across all facets of Husker Athletics.”
Moos helped Washington State’s football program become a national powerhouse by hiring head coach Mike Leach. Now he’s going to be tasked with finding a coach who can turn the Cornhuskers, which have looked more like comedy relief of late than a triumphant squad, into a perennial contender once again.
