The MRI exam on Luka Doncic’s thigh came back negative, ESPN reported Thursday, meaning it’s all about pain tolerance for the Dallas Mavericks star.
Doncic exited in the second half of Wednesday’s game against New Orleans, saying afterward that he had been dealing with discomfort for “a week, maybe more.”
“It’s not good,” Doncic said.
He’s considered day-to-day.
Doncic played 28 minutes in the loss to the Pelicans, scoring 15 points on 4-for-14 shooting. He struggled in the second quarter, missing all five of his shots. He had his leg taped in the third quarter but felt no improvement, and he exited the game for good with 2:29 left in the period.
The Mavs next play at Memphis on Saturday.
Doncic, 24, is averaging 33.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists this season.
