Free-agent outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has reached an agreement on a three-year, $42 million contract to re-sign with the Arizona Diamondbacks, ESPN reported Sunday.
Per the report, the deal includes a club option for a fourth year as well as an opt-out clause following the second season.
Gurriel, 30, recorded career-best totals in homers (24), runs (65), hits (144), doubles (35) and games played (145) during his first season with the Diamondbacks. He also batted .261 with 82 RBIs during a season in which he was named to his first All-Star Game.
Gurriel is a career .279 hitter with 92 homers and 336 RBIs with the Toronto Blue Jays (2018-22) and Diamondbacks.
