After losing Saturday to Auburn to move to 2-2 on the season, LSU fired head coach Les Miles, who has been with the program since 2005 when he took over for Nick Saban. Additionally, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was let go.

Ed Orgeron will reportedly take over for Miles. He has head coaching experience as an interim for USC in 2013 and has been serving as LSU’s defensive line coach since last year.

The Tigers have been underwhelming on offense since Week 1 when they lost to Wisconsin at Lambeau Field. In particular, the passing game has been insufficient, leaving teams to focus on shutting down all-world running back Leonard Fournette (more on that here).
As a result, Fournette has been banged up with an ankle injury since Week 1. He has also managed to score just two rushing touchdowns so far this year.
Needless to say, after a lackluster start, fans felt it was time for a change, and so did the school.
Miles led LSU to a championship in 2007 and lost another championship game in 2011. He leaves the school with a record of 114-34.
