It was announced on Tuesday that the Green Bay Packers were going to release receiver Jordy Nelson. Not long after the news broke, it was reported that at least five teams are interested in the receiver.
According to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports, the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers are expected to be in play for Nelson.
Jordy Nelson already generating interest I’m told. Look for the #Patriots, #Raiders, #Ravens, #Seahawks and #49ers all to make a push.

It certainly makes sense that a number of teams would be interested in Nelson.
There’s no doubt that Nelson’s numbers were well down in 2017. In 15 games, he caught only 53 passes for 482 yards. Still, he hauled in a respectable (though, not outstanding) six touchdowns.
Even if his overall skills are diminished, Nelson has the tools and size to remain an effective red-zone option for at least another season. As such, don’t be surprised to hear about other teams interested in him, as well.
