Jevon Carter plans to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks once he clears waivers, ESPN reported Tuesday.
Carter, 26, will clear waivers Wednesday after being released by the Brooklyn Nets.
The Nets, who announced the signing of Goran Dragic on Tuesday, waived Carter to clear a roster spot.
Carter had been averaging 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds across 12 minutes per game for the Nets this season. He appeared in 46 contests for Brooklyn, including one start. A product of West Virginia, he was selected in the second round of the 2018 draft — 32nd overall — by the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Bucks will be the fourth team Carter has played for. The addition of the 6-foot-1 guard provides depth to the defending champs, who traded away Donte DiVincenzo earlier this month and are still without Pat Connaughton (hand surgery).
