The New York Jets will reportedly battle the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3 without star receiver Eric Decker, who is suffering from a knee injury.
This news comes by way of NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who says Decker is dealing with a PCL sprain and that the receiver might just miss one game with the injury.
#Jets WR Eric Decker (PCL sprain) won’t play today against the #Eagles, source said. Might just miss one week, though.

Decker has been the second-favorite target of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s the first two games of the season, with Brandon Marshall as the top dog. He has caught 10 passes on 14 targets for 134 yards with two touchdowns.
In his absence, Chris Owusu out of Stanford will need to step up, along with veteran Jeremy Kerley. Another name to keep an eye on will be rookie Devin Smith, who is finally ready to go with no restrictions following a scary injury in August when he broke ribs and suffered a collapsed lung.
The Eagles will still have their hands full trying to win on the road against this Jets team, which features one of the league’s most fearsome defenses, along with what’s developing into a darn good offense. Decker will be missed, for sure, but his absence isn’t a huge blow in Week 3.
