First-year New York Giants head coach Joe Judge is building an experienced staff as the former New England Patriots special teams coordinator takes a massive jump in his career.
That now reportedly includes hiring former Arkansas and Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema for an unknown spot on his staff.
Bielema, 50, served as the New England Patriots’ defensive line coach this past season. He’s best known for being the head coach at Wisconsin (2006-12) and Arkansas (2013-17).
The longtime college and professional coach posted a combined 97-58 record in those two stops, leading Wisconsin to consecutive Rose Bowl appearances.
This move comes after New York brought in former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett to be its offensive coordinator.
