Ezekiel Elliott came into the NFL with a reputation as a party animal, and that reputation has followed him all the way through his six-game suspension.
According to TMZ Sports, Elliott did more than just get a ripped body (seriously, check it) during his stay at a resort near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, while he was serving said suspension.
The gossip site obtained footage of Elliott soaking in the hot tub at the Diamante Resort in Cabo, and the report states he was a regular. Often accompanied by “lady friends,” Elliott was also seen popping open bottles of expensive champagne and partying it up.
We won’t fault Elliott for having fun during his down time. And it’s not like he was out at a packed nightclub, which sometimes leads to trouble for young famous athletes. Still, one wonders if Elliott will ever be rid of the need to party. He’s blessed with unbelievable talent to play football, or we’d guess almost any athletic endeavor.
The Dallas Cowboys desperately need Elliott fully focused on football this Sunday when they host the Seattle Seahawks. They need to continue winning to have a shot at the playoffs, one year removed from claiming the No. 1 seed in the NFC. If Elliott can return with a vengeance and chews up yardage with regularity, they’ll have a much better chance of making it happen.
