Seattle Seahawks running back Eddie Lacy is meeting expectations to this point as he slims down progressively heading into the 2017 NFL season.
According to Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network, he weighed in at 253 pounds, which earned him a nice chunk of bonus money.
Per his agents @_SportsTrust, Eddie Lacy weighed in at 253 pounds today. $55,000 bonus.

Lacy reportedly weighed in at 267 pounds during one free agency visit, and the Seahawks knew he needed to get into shape. Head coach Pete Carroll said recently that he wants Lacy to play big, but that obviously doesn’t mean he’s free to binge on Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonalds.
Seattle is counting on Lacy to be a sort of replacement to Marshawn Lynch. They didn’t have that one guy who could carry the load in 2016, with the top running back gaining (Christine Michael) gaining just 469 yards on the ground.
If he can stay within optimal weight limits, then Lacy can certainly be that guy. Though, he’s struggled to stay fit and healthy the past few years, which is why the Green Bay Packers were content to let him hit the market after last season.
So far, so good for Lacy this year. If he can stay on the field, then the Seahawks will be much better offensively.
