Roughly 12 hours after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19, teammate Donovan Mitchell has also tested positive for the coronavirus.
RELATED: NBA season suspended
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news, noting Jazz players “privately say that Rudy Gobert had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings.”
The Jazz are one of a handful of NBA teams currently under quarantine following a stunning decision by the NBA to suspend its season following Gobert’s positive test.
The NBA isn’t the only league that is wrestling with the aftermath of these positive tests. The NHL, which shares stadiums with the NBA, announced on Thursday morning that it is advising all teams to cancel morning skate, practices and team meetings.
