Derrius Guice exited Washington’s preseason opener because of a knee injury, and the team is taking no chances with its rookie running back.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Guice will undergo a precautionary MRI on Friday.

Guice, who had drawn praise for his dedicated approach during training camp, managed 19 yards on six carries against the New England Patriots.
Although he exited the contest, Guice remained on the sideline and was seen walking around. Given that, it seems the LSU product doesn’t have a long-term issue.
Still, there’s no doubt Washington fans will be holding their collective breath until the MRI comes back clean.
