After re-signing both Stephen Curry and Shaun Livingston once free agency started at midnight Saturday, the defending champion Golden State Warriors will reportedly retain another key cog.
According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, the Warriors will re-sign veteran big man David West to a one-year contract. It will be his final year in the NBA before stepping away from the game.
David West, per source, to re-sign for one year—will be his last—with the Warriors.

West, 36, averaged 4.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists for Golden State last year. But more than those marginal numbers, he acted as a tremendous veteran asset off the bench. With an ability to play both power forward and center, West will continue to give the Warriors flexibility as they look to repeat this upcoming season.
