The woman accusing New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown of sexual assault, Britney Taylor, is set to meet with the NFL some time next week.
That report comes to us via ESPN’s Josina Anderson. It also suggests that the NFL is not going to take any action prior to Brown’s scheduled debut with the Patriots on Sunday.
A lawsuit filed in federal court on Tuesday acccuses Brown of assaulting Taylor three times spanning 2017 an 2018.
Earlier on Wednesday, the District Attorney’s office in Pittsburgh pushed back against a previous report indicating that it was investigating these allegations.
Though, the NFL itself is conducting an internal investigation. Placing Brown on the Commissioner’s Exempt List could be a possibility.
Again, that likely wouldn’t come until after commissioner Roger Goodell and Co. meet with the accuser and potentially even the accused.
