The Washington Redskins have made yet another change at quarterback.
Fresh off firing head coach Jay Gruden, interim head man Bill Callahan has reportedly named Case Keenum as the team’s starter for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
Colt McCoy started last week’s blowout loss against the New England Patriots. Prior to that, Keenum was benched in favor of rookie Dwayne Haskins in a Week 4 loss to the New York Giants.
Not that it really matters. Washington heads into Sunday’s toilet bowl against the league-worst Dolphins at 0-5 on the season and having been outscored 88-25 over the past three games.
For his part, Keenum has thrown seven touchdowns compared to four interceptions on the season. At the very least, he’s looked competent at times.
