Left-hander Max Fried lost his arbitration case with the Braves, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Saturday.

Fried will earn $13.5 million in 2023 instead of the $15 million he was seeking after arbitrators ruled in the team’s favor, per the report.

Fried, 29, was a National League All-Star and Cy Young Award runner-up last season and finished 14-7 with a 2.48 ERA in 30 starts. He also won his third straight Gold Glove.

Fried, who earned $6.85 million last season, won’t be eligible for free agency until 2025.

Through parts of six seasons with Atlanta, he is 54-25 with a 3.09 ERA in 125 games (108 starts). He has struck out 617 batters and walked 171 in 632 1/3 innings.
