Report: Antonio Brown has not talked to Steelers’ brass since December

If the first step in repairing a relationship is communication, there’s absolutely no reason to believe that the situation surrounding Antonio Brown and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be resolved.

According to Albert Breer of MMQB, Brown has not spoken to anyone within the Steelers’ hierarchy since the season ended back in December.

“Brown has not talked to any member of the Steelers brass—including head coach Mike Tomlin, GM Kevin Colbert and owner Art Rooney—since the season ended, according to sources. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has been in contact with the team,” Breer reported.

It was just earlier this week that Brown officially requested a trade from Pittsburgh. This comes after Brown got into a late-season spat with Ben Roethlisberger. That relationships appears to be irreparable.

If the Steelers were to move Brown, it would have to come within the next month. He’s due a $2.5 million roster bonus on March 16.

Given that there’s been no talks about Brown and the Steelers’ brass, it seems highly likely the game’s most-productive receiver will in fact be traded.
