The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly start negotiating a long-term contract in earnest with star receiver Amari Cooper, per ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
Anderson reported Saturday that contract talks between Cooper and the ‘Boys “are set to intensify ‘very soon.'”
Dallas has been adamant about keeping Cooper in the fold as free agency looms.
Cooper, of course, isn’t the only big-name Cowboys star looking to get paid this spring. Dak Prescott is either going to get a long-term deal or be hit with the exclusive franchise tag — worth roughly $33 million — and star cornerback Byron Jones is likely to set the market with his next deal, either with Dallas or another team.
