Red Sox fire president Dave Dombrowski

In an absolutely shocking move, the Boston Red Sox announced following Sunday’s loss to the New York Yankees that they have moved on from team president Dave Dombrowski.

This comes less than a calendar year after a team Dombrowski put together earned a World Series title.

The longtime executive expressed surprise earlier this season that he was seen as being on the hot seat. That has now come to fruition.

Dombrowski has served in this role since 2015. That span has seen Boston win three division titles and one world championship.
