Expectations were fairly high for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson coming into his second season. He is already surpassing them after a sensational performance against the Miami Dolphins.
Baltimore jumped out to a 52-10 lead in the third quarter and even led 42-10 at halftime behind Jackson’s outstanding game. Along the way, he became the first quarterback in franchise history to post a perfect passer rating (158.3)
Throwing five touchdowns in a single game is a rare achievement, but it’s even more extraordinary when an NFL quarterback accomplishes the feat on only 20 pass attempts.
While a matchup against Miami’s secondary was certainly favorable, Jackson will face another soft defense next week when he faces the Arizona Cardinals.
