The Baltimore Ravens are getting ahead of any potential speculation or rumors concerning the job security of head coach John Harbaugh.
On Friday evening, the team released a statement saying Harbaugh will be back in 2019 and that the two sides are working on a contract extension.

This decision might have something to do with the fact that Harbaugh hitched his carriage to rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson recently. He had a very difficult decision once Joe Flacco was fully healthy and capable of starting games again and ultimately went with the young guy who has been helping generate wins.
Harbaugh’s willingness to embrace the future here appears to have been good for his own bottom line.
The head coach has a record of 102-72 in Baltimore and has, of course, brought a Super Bowl title to the franchise. The Ravens enter Week 16 with a record of 8-6, one-half game behind Pittsburgh for the AFC North lead.
