Raptors Uprising GC topped Hawks Talon GC 3-1 on Monday to bring group play for the NBA 2K League Slam Open to a close.
The match was held in person at the Atlanta Hawks’ venue, State Farm Arena.
The win improved the Raptors to 2-2 in group play (moving them into a tie for seventh) and dropped the Hawks to 1-3. Up next is bracket play, which begins Thursday and concludes March 16.
On Monday, the Raptors opened the matchup with a 23-13 win before the Hawks responded with a 21-17 win. The Raptors closed out the match by winning the final two games 23-19 and 23-17.
Jarvis “Simptoms” Thompson led the way for the Raptors with 48 points (a 12.0 average) while Rafel “Crush” Davis put up 25 (6.3).
The Slam Open is the first of 3v3 tournaments in the NBA 2K League season, with the Switch Open (March 20-April 6) and the Steal Open (April 19-20) to follow. The playoffs are set for April 24-27 in Washington.
