The Colorado Rapids and Portland Timbers will resume their match, postponed from the Fourth of July, on Wednesday.
Inclement weather in Commerce City, Colo., forced the postponement at halftime with the match tied 0-0. It will restart at the 46th minute with the same players on the field and the same substitutes available as when the match was called.
The start of the match on Tuesday was delayed nearly two hours due to heavy rain.
Just minutes after the first half ended, another deluge began pounding Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The match was called approximately 80 minutes later at 11:42 p.m. local time.
Both teams had just one shot on target in the first half.
