Texas Rangers All-Star slugger Joey Gallo exited Tuesday’s game against the Seattle Mariners after being hit on the wrist
While X-rays were initially negative, the Rangers are now concerned that Gallo suffered a broken hamate bone in his wrist.
If this is indeed the case, it’s some really bad news for Texas. A first-time All-Star this season, Gallo has been tremendous for the Rangers. He’s hitting .243 with 22 homers and 49 RBI on the season.
If confirmed, this injury could cost Gallo up to two months. That’s not great given Texas’ place as a potential wild card contender down the stretch.
