The Los Angeles Rams’ current uniforms represent a bygone era in franchise history when the team played in St. Louis. Since moving back to Southern California in 2016, fans have been demanding that they switch back to their old Los Angeles uniforms.
That’s now going to happen. The Rams announced on Friday that they will wear their pre St. Louis uniforms five times this season.
We heard you, Los Angeles.

Acknowledging their history is important here. Given that two of the games Los Angeles will wear these throwbacks are against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, that’s magnified even further.
The Rams played in Los Angeles from 1946-1994, wearing these uniforms for their final three decades in the city, prior to moving to St. Louis from 1995-2015.
Some will say this isn’t going far enough. Why not just transition to the old uniforms on a full-time basis? There’s a marketing aspect to all that. But it appears that the Rams have at least started the process. Good on them.
