The NFL’s highest-paid player now has his franchise left tackle back on the practice field. After holding out from the start of training camp, Oakland Raiders left tackle Donald Penn reported to camp on Wednesday.
Donald Penn just ran out to practice

Penn has been away from Raiders practice since late July as a way to protest what is obviously a below-market contract. Fresh off a Pro Bowl performance, Penn is currently playing under a two-year, $11.9 million deal.
He’s one of the primary reasons that Derek Carr was sacked a grand total of just 16 times in 15 games last season. Set to become a free agent following the 2017 campaign, it will be interesting to see how this situation plays out.
But for now, the Raiders have gotten one of the key components of their elite-level offense back in the mix.
