Free agent quarterback Johnny Manziel is reportedly drawing a lot of interest from the NFL as he practices for his opening day in the Spring League.
According to Kevin Seifert of ESPN, more than half of the league’s teams have migrated through Austin to view Manziel on the practice field. But more interestingly enough, two scouts from the Oakland Raiders were in attendance this Friday to observe Manziel.
That is a bit curious, but provides for some interesting speculation.
Per the report, Manziel is expected to get 30-35 snaps on Saturday in his official Spring League debut. It will be interesting to see he if continues to draw attention from those clubs who sent out scouts.
Manziel last played with the Cleveland Browns in 2015 where he produced a 2-4 record as a starter. Since, the young quarterback has come a long in finally getting his life in order. The Spring League provides the perfect opportunity for Manziel to prove he is serious about returning to the NFL.
