You know you’re on top of the world when Prince drops your name into one of his new songs. That’s exactly what happened Friday night when the legendary artist inserted Stephen Curry into a line from his new hit single “FREE URSELF” during a concert at Oracle Arena.

“Take your place in history. I know Steph Curry is,” Prince sang to the adoring pro-Golden State Warriors crowd.
Less than a week earlier, Curry broke his own record for three-pointers made in a single season when he dropped 12 of them into the bucket on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder, bringing his season total up to 288 before adding five more two games later against the same Thunder team at Oracle Arena.
He and the Warriors are also on pace to break another hallowed record — the 72 regular-season wins compiled by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.
Of course, from one legend to another, Curry knew who was in town Friday night when Prince came to his home court.

That’s a lot of black lights.
Clearly, Prince, Curry and the Warriors are big fans of one another. The rock god was in town Thursday night as well to watch Curry score 33 points against the Thunder, improving the team’s overall record for the 2015-16 season to 55-5.
