Looking to take in-game sports wagering to the next level, PointsBet announced Thursday that it will become the first sportsbook to offer live, in-game parlay wagering for both NFL and NBA games.
The move for customers in PointsBet’s nine-state footprint comes just in time for Sunday’s NFL conference championship games and the Feb. 13 Super Bowl.
“At PointsBet, we’re focused on refining our technology to ensure we’re aligning with the type of online sports betting experience our customers seek, and based on the trends we’re tracking, sports fans and bettors not only want to bet live, but they also want the ability to build a same game parlay live,” PointsBet COO Mark Hughes said in a release.
“We’re thrilled to now be able to offer live same game betting opportunities to our customers, and to be the first sportsbook to do so is a testament to our team’s commitment to providing the best product and enhancing the user experience.”
PointsBet says the in-game parlay wagers will be made possible by its “OddsFactory proprietary technology integration.” Live in-game parlay bets can be made during timeouts and breaks in play “for the best user experience.”
During this month’s wild-card round NFL playoff game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals, PointsBet offered continuous spread and moneyline wagering without suspensions, saying it was the first U.S. sports-betting provider to do so.
PointsBet is licensed to operate in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and West Virginia.
