It’s happening. It really is happening. One day after the NBA board of governors approved a plan to resume the 2019-20 season in Orlando next month, the players have followed suit.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the NBPA has approved the return-to-play format.
This qualifies as some absolutely huge news. The NBA season has been suspended since back on March 11 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. That came after Utah Jazz star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus.
Things still need to be hashed out over the next week, but the NBA will return at Walt Disney World in Orlando on July 31.
