Hornets first-round pick PJ Washington won’t play in summer league with sore foot

PJ Washington

Charlotte Hornets rookie PJ Washington is dealing with a sore left foot and will not participate in the NBA’s summer league, per Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

Washington was selected 12th overall out of Kentucky by Charlotte in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Washington dealt with a left foot injury last season that required a hard cast while the Wildcats played in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. It’s unclear if the current injury is in any way related to that one, or how serious it is at this time.
