The Detroit Pistons and forward Bojan Bogdanovic agreed to a two-year, $39.1 million contract extension, the team confirmed on Monday.
Reports of the deal were published Sunday.
Detroit acquired 33-year-old Croatian national team player from the Jazz in a September deal that sent for Kelly Olynyk, Saben Lee and cash considerations to Utah.
Bogdanovic, playing on the final year of his current contract, had put up a team-best 22.7 points per game in seven contests entering the Pistons’ Monday night game at Milwaukee. He also was contributing 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 50.9 percent from 3-point range.
In nine NBA seasons with the Brooklyn Nets (2014-15 to 2016-17), Washington Wizards (2016-17), Indiana Pacers (2017-18 to 2018-19), Jazz (2019-20 to 2021-22) and Detroit, Bogdanovic is averaging 15.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He has a 45.7 percent field-goal rate, including 39.4 percent from 3-point range.
