Phillies right-hander Noah Syndergaard will get the start Monday when the World Series shifts to Philadelphia for Game 3.

Veteran righty Lance McCullers Jr. will be on the mound for the Astros, who evened the series at one win apiece with a 5-2 victory in Houston on Saturday night.

The Phillies opted to give left-hander Ranger Suarez an extra day of rest after he pitched two-third scoreless innings of relief in Friday’s 6-5 win in Game 1.

Syndergaard, 30, will be making his second career start in the World Series. In 2015, he got the win in Game 3 for the New York Mets, allowing three runs on seven hits in six innings in a 9-3 defeat of the Kansas City Royals.

This postseason, Syndergaard is 0-0 with a 1.69 ERA in three games (one start). He has allowed one run on three hits in 5 1/3 innings, striking out four with one walk.

McCullers, 29, is making his third career start in the Fall Classic. He started Games 3 and 7 for the Astros in their 2017 triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers, going 1-0 with a 3.52 ERA across 7 2/3 innings.

McCullers is 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA in 11 innings this postseason, striking out 13 batters and walking three. He was the starting pitcher for the series-clinching wins against the Seattle Mariners in the division series and the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series.
