Penn State has long been making a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer thanks to THON, which is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.
Over the weekend, THON held its annual fundraiser, raising more than $10 million over three days.

According to the school’s official website, this brings the THON historic total up to $146 million since 1977.
“The 45th year of THON ran from Feb. 17 to 19 as dancers stood for 46 hours without sleep at the Bryce Jordan Center.”
The money is used “to cover the treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients as well as supported cancer research” at Four Diamonds at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
Keep up the great work, THON.
