Now that Jason Kidd is no longer manning the bench with the Brooklyn Nets, it appears that future Hall of Fame small forward Paul Pierce may very well join him in bolting from the Nets.
Clippers, I'm told, believe they have real chance of stealing Paul Pierce away from Nets now that Jason Kidd no longer coaching in Brooklyn

Call it the collateral damage that comes with not giving in to an average head coach who was demanding too much after little success in his only season with the Nets. Pierce, on the downswing of his career, is likely nothing more than a decent bench option for a championship-caliber team.
And that’s precisely what the Clippers might be looking at him to be. Given his experience with the Boston Celtics teams of the past decade or so, Pierce would bring another solid option to the table for a Clippers team that is looking to take the next step towards elite status.
Don’t expect much more than $5 million per season on a short-term contract, wherever Pierce ends up.
