Green Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham was fined $25,000 this week for violating the NFL’s media access policy, per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Per Wood, Graham hadn’t spoken with reporters since Aug. 5 prior to Wednesday, when he granted an interview inside Green Bay’s locker room.
That’s quite a long time to avoid the media, and his league-mandated responsibility. Needless to say, the void in Graham’s bank account had its intended effect.
Once the most feared pass-catching tight end in the NFL, Graham hasn’t had the kind of impact in Green Bay that the Packers thought they’d see when they signed him to a lucrative three-year deal prior to the 2018 season.
