This is pretty cool.
Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reported on Friday infielder Ryan Ripken has signed to a minor-league deal with the Orioles. Ripken is, of course, the son of Baltimore legend and Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. who spent 21 seasons with the team.

The 23-year-old will report to extended spring training and is expected to start the season in short-season Single-A Aberdeen.
Across two minor league teams last season, Ripken slashed a .201/.241/.254 with a home run and 34 RBI.
His uncle Billy Ripken also played with the Orioles and so did his grandfather Cal Ripken Sr. And it looks like that legacy will continue in Baltimore.
