Some of you were too young to remember when the Oregon Ducks were considered major underdogs against the then Pac-10 rival Washington Huskies back in 1994. On their road to a surprise appearance in the Rose Bowl that season, a cinderella Oregon team  upset the top-10 Huskies at home on a last minute interception return for a touchdown by Kenny Wheaton.
Here is the play.
If you didn’t get chills watching that, you’re not a football fan.
Now 20 years later and considered one of the top football programs in the nation, Oregon is going to honor that play and an amazing season by wearing its throwback uniforms on Saturday against Washington.
And to be honest, the uniforms are spectacular.
As someone who had an Oregon jersey and hat combination growing up, I couldn’t be more excited about this news. Here’s the announcement from program’s Twitter account with four photos of the awesome uniforms.
