New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. hauled in a 51-yard reception during the third quarter of Monday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. That reception doubled as a history-maker for him.
The catch put Beckham over the 5,000-yard mark for his career. Over the last 50-plus years, no receiver has reached that barrier quicker.

It’s certainly fitting. Beckham has been one of the most explosive players in the game since coming into the NFL in 2014. He exceeded 1,300 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons in the league. He likely would have done so for a fourth-straight year in 2017 had he stayed healthy.
We certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see Beckham continue to knock down these records through the rest of his career.
