According to Susan Slusser of SF Gate, the Oakland Athletics are trying to get George Michael to make an appearance in Oakland.

Oakland’s right fielder Josh Reddick has changed his usual WWE-themed/country walk-up music to the addicting guilty pleasure song that combines a catchy saxophone riff and lyrics. “Careless Whisper” is slowly starting to become the theme of the green and gold.
The bump in YouTube views could be in huge part of Oakland fans, but as of now it is doing an outstanding job helping Josh Reddick in the box.
On the night of the 80’s pop song debut, Reddick went 2-3 with an RBI and a triple.
As of now, getting Michael to Oakland is just talk, but you gotta have faith and make sure you practice your dance moves until then, unless of course you never want to dance again.
